The Oldominion Crew is a huge conglomerate of MC's, DJ's, Producers and Hip Hoppers out of the North West. Home to the likes of Grayskul, Smoke, Boom Bap Project, Sleep and many, many more, the crew in itself has a cult following world wide.
The sound of the crew is a direct product of their environment; coming mostly from the wet and often bleak Seattle-Portland areas their production and subject matter is often on the darker, more moody side of things. Whether thats to your personal taste's or not, I highly recommend you give this compilation a download anyway. With the sheer magnitude of the crew there honestly is something for everybody here, whether its the drunken flow and un-shakable demeanor of Barfly (who is also frontman of a rock-pop group - The Saturday Knights), the incredibly versatile and honest MC/Producer Smoke, The raw 90's rap style of Sleep, the apocalyptic-poet stylings of Xperience or the thick drums and Cali-swagger of new inductee Coley Cole.

Cormega - An Introduction

Cormega - Hands down my favourite Queensbridge MC (yes, I know who Nas is). And one of my favourite MC's period. The thing about Mega is the way he continually sways the line between hardcore street shit and positivity. One second he'll be reminiscing on tales of hand-to-hand drug sales and the next second he'll be handing out sound advice to the younger generation to stay on the righteous path and make good in the world, and never does he overdo it and sound fake or preachy. Mega, essentially, is the everyday man's MC. And he can hang with the nicest MC's bar for bar.
This mix, is basically just an intro to anybody who is unfamiliar with Cormega's work. All the tracks here are straight off his solo albums, there are no mixtape tracks, tracks that he was featured on, compilation tracks, Collabo albums, B-Sides or rare shit. It's just a simple introduction to one of my favourite MC's for those that are unfamiliar, and for those that know the deal, then hopefully you'll still think this is a pretty dope mix of some of Mega's brighter moments.

UK Mix Volume 1

Alright, I was supposed to do this a loooooong time ago. I'm compiling a number of collections of various U.K. Hip Hop artists. The UK Hip Hop is prolly my favourite scene in the world for quality hip hop, I love the sound, I love the rawness, I love the slang and I love how dark and grimey most of the shit is and it doesn't hurt that a bunch of my favourite artists are from the UK (Task Force, Klashnekoff, Jehst, Verb T...) so hopefully people can find some new artists to check for in the future from scoping out this mix.
I'm obviously gonna be favouring my personal favourite artists, but I'm trying to get as much diversity as I can in subject matter and sound etc. I'm also attempting to have at least 2 tracks per artist to give you a better, overall feel for things.
I'm keeping the files to 10-14 tracks per so that I can keep the file size down. So for I have 35 tracks of UK Hip Hop compiled on 3 "mixes". This is the first mix, the other 2 should be up within 24 hours.

Grayskul are my favorite group of all time, having surpassed Organized Konfusion on the list.
But a lot of people aren't really aware of them, and those that are usually haven't heard the music, just the name.
So this is a mixtape or sampler of sorts that I compiled from their albums.
It's not any kind of "greatest hits", or even a personal collection of my favourite joints, its simply a mixture of what I think gives the best example of who Grayskul are, with some of my personal favourites thrown in. The only Grays release that isn't represented here is the Blood Sweat and Fears mixtape, seeing as its already a mixtape.
So for those that don't know, Grayskul is a 2-man group of JFK (MC) and Onry Ozzborn (MC/Producer) and frequent colloborater Rob Castro (Bass). JFK and Onry Ozzborn are both staples, and perhaps the 2 most prolific pieces, in the Northwest's monstorous crew - Oldominion.
